Iranian students at the University of Texas, half pro-Ayatollah Khomeini and half pro-Banisadr, held simultaneous demonstration marches through the city. The two groups took separate routes but converged in front of the State Capitol divided only by a row of riot equipped police. The two factions yelled chants and raised fists at one another.
