On June 13 in Arlington Stadium during a Texas Ranger baseball game, a parakeet wandered out on to the playing field in the first inning. Several players, including Ranger Jim Sunberg, tried to chase or trap the bird but they only succeeded in chasing the bird from the field before resuming play.
