Caption/Description
A grandmother and her grandchildren sit in a village near the Aral Sea in Soviet Central Asia. The Aral Sea, the fourth largest lake in the world, has been environmentally devasted as a result of wreckless irrigation of the lake. It has shrunk 90 kilometers in ten years.
