Caption/Description
Deep North, The Stikine River. The Stikine River basin is a pristine watershed the size of Switzerland in northen British Columbia. With only one road bisecting its 400 mile course, it traverse a landscape of solitary beauty. It is the home of the Tahltan Indians, homesteaders, hunters and wild creatures. Threatened by mining interests, dams and railroads it has survived as a jewel in the crown of the deep north.
