PAYCHECK TO PAYCHECK: Two-thirds of families in the United States say they live paycheck to paycheck. Household debt is at record levels, and American savings are in the negative, the lowest level since the Great Depression. The working class is being squeezed like never before. Add a related surge in property taxes, insurance bills, medical costs (not to mention higher gas prices) and the challenge to make ends meet is a common denominator for Americans across the spectrum.
