This photo shows a drummer for the Frank Smith trio seemingly lost in the music. The trio was one of several professional groups who played at a benefit concert at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas, to help send a local high school band, the Sumner High band, to Paris last summer for the International Jazz Festival.
