Fred says he doesn't remember killing a stranger one night after a party after hours of drink and drugs. He had never been convicted of anything before. On a snowy Wednesday afternoon Fred and 20 other fish were dropped off at Walla Walla. As shotgun-armed guards watched, Fred was unhooked from the chain to begin his life sentence.
