The man, Sot, was a soldier in Cambodia and knew he was marked for death. His wife had just given birth to their first son. They decided to flee for their lives. They were spotted by Khmer Rouge soldiers and when they tried to escape the firing began. The Oungs now live in Louisville and are trying to start over.
