Caption/Description
A brush fire, fanned by 100 mile-per-hour winds swept down from the foothills surrounding San Bernardino. Within an hour whole blocks of homes were burning, the fire moving from house to house like a blowtorch. Nearly 300 homes burned, as well as complete destruction of natural watershed.
