Caption/Description

Twenty persons were injured on Sunday May 25, on ash shrouded Interstate 5 near Centralia, WA when 15 cars collided in the northbound lanes. The cause was heavy ashfall from Mt. St. Helens' second major eruption. A Centralia fireman gives first aid to a victim while fireman Joel Hangarner carries an injured child to an ambulance.
