Caption/Description
On a sailboat named Eastern Star, 103 Haitians arrived in Ft. Lauderdale. They claimed to have been at sea for 24 days. The immigration officer disputed their claim and suggested they'd come from Nassau in the Bahamas, about a four day trip. They were fingerprinted, photographed, placed with relatives or released on parole as illegal aliens.
