Two Camel Herders, Camels and Cigarettes

En route to the Pushkar Camel Fair, Bhanwar Lal, a 15-year-old camel herder, pauses with two companions as the sun descends on India's Thar Desert. They will be joined in Pushkar by more than a million Hindus--all male--from every corner of Rajasthan and Pakistan. While camels can be docile, as they are here, they can also be extremely stubborn and unruly.
