Choko Tabuchi, 7 years old, writes the name of her teacher, Mrs. Tinker, in Japanese. The basic Japanese alphabet has nearly twice the number of letters as the English alphabet. Yoko is among 10 Japanese children who came to the United States last summer with their families.
