Vietnam veteran, in Vietnam from April 1968-69, in a forward air control unit. He was in many sprayed areas and was nauseous and feverish much of the time in Vietnam. At one time, he was paralyzed for a week. The photo marks his 21st hospitalization, and it was taken after the nerves going to his legs were severed to relieve the pain and spasticity.
