When a small band of Ku Klux Klan members planned a rally in Washington, DC, they were greeted by several thousand shouting, rock throwing anti-Klan protesters. The demonstration quickly got out of hand. Here, a nightstick-swinging officer knocks a suspected looter through a downtown store window.
