The opening day of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial was Nov. 11, 1982. Emotions ran high as vets remembered their fallen friends and in some cases were reunited. Here, a couple embraces. The couple was there for almost 10 minutes, just holding each other as if it would erase all past feelings and remembrances of America's 'most controversial war.'
