Jim started drinking, he says, after his wife was murdered. Bill, on the other hand, lost his family because of his drinking. Their favorite drinking spot is on a railroad platform across the tracks and down the street from the county courthouse. When the two men can't get enough money for a bottle of wine they resort to rubbing alcohol and water.
