Caption/Description
An intruder broke into a suburban Virginia home and terrorized the family. The family's six-year-old son was left with severe brain damage due to strangulation. The family decided to try a controversial treatment called 'patterning'. It requires 20 volunteers a day to come into the house and manipulate and massage D.J.'s arms and legs in an effort to retrain his brain.
