Michigan City, IN - Fred Holzer worked in the steel industry for 19 years and then was laid off. At two in the morning as his son Michael, 14, watches, Fred is suffering a breakdown. After 30 months out of work, he was called back. “They made it. Maybe they’ll be better for it,” he said of his children.
