J.S. Moran, 97, is the nation’s oldest working journalist. Moran works about five hours daily at the Springfield, Kentucky, Sun working on his column, “Through My Bifocals.” He began at the Sun in 1915, bought the paper, and then sold it six years ago to a chain of Kentucky weeklies.
