Election week in the Philippines set the stage for the coming revolution. Corazon Aquino and Ferdinand Marcos held their last rallies. Filipinos voted, and in one village, masked men wearing MARCOS PARIN (Marcos again) scarves fired guns to clear out locals and steal boxes largely filled with votes for Aquino. In aonother village, locals marched votes in themselves to thwart the thieves. This led to rallies for the People’s Revolution.
