Caption/Description
Always present for the children of Nicaragua are the reminders of their national crisis in its most extreme and personal form, the violent death of friends and relatives. Alvaro Aviles Cevasco was 19, the son of a prominent doctor, and a student at a school in Managua, when early this year he decided to leave his classes behind and join the Nicaraguan army. Two months later, he came back home to be buried. Here, the four brothers of Alvaro Aviles Cevasco mourn the death of their 19-year-old brother.
