Sherry and Jaime Harrison have xeroderma pigmentosum, a rare genetic disease, where their genes lack protection from the damage of ultraviolet radiation. Light is their enemy. Sherry, left, is too young to know the dangers and is intrigued by the light and outdoors. Jaime is more sensitive to light. She knows it is harmful and hurtful.
