The special forces camp of Plei Me, South Vietnam was under heavy attack by an estimated two regiments of Viet-Cong and North Vietnamese regulars that started, at that time, the largest battle of the Vietnam war. The pictures in this story were made while the camp was under heavy attack over a period of two days. Given Special Merit Award
