Roger Lafontant, former head of Duvalier's secret militia called the Ton-Ton Macoutes. He was barred from running as president and has vowed to keep Aristide from power. The Macoutes are believed to be responsible for 1987 election violence, where a bomb and gunfire killed six people and injured many others. Later, Lafontant staged an unsuccessful coup attempt and was arrested.
