Having just kissed his mother goodbye for the last time, Nathaniel Collins watches his mother march away as his father is grief stricken and holds him tight. Craig Collins said it was the hardest thing he ever had to do, watch his wife go away to war as he stayed home with their son. Ironically, Dawn Collins signed up for the National Guard only one day before the Gulf War began.
