Kiss Goodbye--Because she became addicted again to the drug she swore off earlier in the summer, Damaris lost her newborn baby. As Eddie steams at the prospect of any lost child, Damaris is unconsoleable and her sister kisses her goodbye. It will be months before Damaris' mother allows her to come back to see the children and she and Eddie and her sister Elizabeth know it. Elizabeth and Damaris are very close. 'People just don't understand addiction,' she says. ' Neither do I but I don't judge my sister, I just love her.'
