The death of one of the famous Dionne quintuplets was a major news event of l954. Emilie Dionne died in St. Agathe, Quebec, and she was brought home to Callander for buriel. Her surviving sisters, Cecile, Marie, Yvonne and Annette, stand by the casket here with sorrow-laden faces as they said their silent farewells to their beloved Emilie.
