The day after the family learned of the death of Lance Cpl. Thomas A. Jenkins, they hung a portrait of their marine son on the porch of their home in the small town of Coulterville, CA. Tommy Jenkins was the first Nothern Californian killed in the Gulf War. The shadow is of a close family friend. 'Tommy' joined the military to emulate his father's friend Harvey Tomlinson.
