Caption/Description
Weeks after Hurricane Andrew's destructive rampage across South Florida, its victims have not cried all of their tears as they struggle to reassemble lives amid devastated belongings and mementos, rotting garbage, mosquitoes and piles of rubble. With whole communities torn and as many as 160,000 people left homeless, daily life is anything but normal. As Andrew approached,Jackie Cohen and Tommy George took their 4-day old infant and left their trailer home for safer ground. With no money for a hotel and no desire to live in one of the military's tent cities, Jackie and Tommy pitched a tent near what was once their home. And Kaitlynn Faith Cohen spent the first weeks of her life surround by debris and shattered lives. Life was not easy before the hurricane, living on disability checks and Tommy fighting the lure of the bottle. Jackie and Tommy's Trailer home was the first place he owned.Entrance to Princetonian Mobile Park.
