A new jet plane--an Air Force F-86 Fighter--starts a steep climb above the flight strip at Lambert--St. Louis field during an air show. Photographer Linck climbed fence post at end of runway to shoot above the crowd at speedy take-off. The trail of smoke 'was unplanned, but welcome.'
