Grateful Kosovar Albanians raise First Lieutenant John Marcinek of Webster, New York, over their heads during a thank-you party for American troops who were stationed in the town of Gnjilane, Kosovo. The 4th of July celebration included dancing and singing of American songs. The Kosovars feel that there would have been almost no chance for return home had it not been for the American-led NATO intervention.
