Emory Collins, national dirt track champion, maneuvers into the lead at the Minnesota State Fair races Aug. 28. Russ Lee's car, out of view at left, was so high Collins was able to cut inside and forge ahead. Mr. Bell selected this spot from which to shoot 'because of beautiful lighting and because most accidents occur here.'
