When a tornado formed at the edge of Fargo, N.D., on June 20, 1957, Photographer Chet Gerbert photographed the twister's progress . First four pictures of the series show the funnel heading toward him. The fifth is taken as the funnel passed through a residential section. And the sixth was taken less than five minutes after the tornado ripped into homes.
