Beginning, A heavily guarded visit to Temple Mount (Al Haram al Sharif) on September 28th by Ariel Sharon, the hawkish leader of the opposition Likud Party, set off riots in the compound that mushroomed into a Palestinian uprising, which has been called the Aksa intifada.Mr. Sharon prays at the Western Wall, the most prominent tenant of the Second Temple, the most sacred site in Judaism.
