Murray Wier, University of Iowa, made practically every all-American basketball team, and electrified crowds throughout the nation with his spectacular shooting. Don Padilla, picture editor of the Cedar Rapids Gazette, made this shot, part of a full-page spread, near the close of the '48 season. The game, at Iowa City, was with the Univeristy of Wisconsin.
