Alzheimer's – Disappearing into Darkness

As her husband, Cliff, watches from their bed, Betty Lee, her mind ravaged by Alzheimer's, goes to the bathroom shuts the door, but does not remember to turn on the light. Like Betty, many Alzheimer's sufferers are night wanderers, which is physically taxing on the already exhausted caregivers. On some nights, Cliff has to 'rescue' Betty from the bathroom several times throughout the night.
