Caption/Description
Inside the Womb The period from days 18 to 28 emphasis is on the development of the nervous system, even though other vital organs (such as the heart) develop at the same time. The nueral groove, sort of a channel in which the spinal cord and spinal nerves will form, is laid down along the length of the primitive streak. By the third weeks the groove starts to close into a tube.
