Caption/Description
Worn vehicles are proof of a hard life in the Republic of Georgia. Rain leaks thru a canvas roof, a windshield wiper on one side is just a stick grating across a broken window. The driver had his window unbolted and thrown in the back, but because of rain, he stops to bolt it back on. He takes apart the hubs and part of the axle of the jeep to engage the gears. He tries to keep a jeep with four bald tires, two bald spares, an engine that needs a liter of water every ten minutes, a door that only opens with a screw driver and has twenty gallons of gas sloshing around in the back--running long enough to get to his native Khaketi.
