When the Shrine circus opened in Jefferson County Armory, Louisville, Mr. Bailey's assignment was to get a feature shot to accompany the story. This picture ran three-columns in the Courier-Journal. It shows Suzanne Hitt, 4, sharing her bag of peanuts with Queenie, the elephant. The clown, Paul Jerome lends moral support.
