Crossings, The Dream of the Rich North - Upon arriving in Texas, Eloisa's sister helped her get an assembly job at a Walls Factory Outlet where she and dozens of other immigrants manufactured sport and hunting apparel. After being laid off there, she found work as a dishwasher at a local restaurant.
