The Afghan people live their lives as they always have done through their history , at once both the victims and ultimate survivors of their own fate. A miner takes a break from working in the small coal mine near his village of Gazastan , Takhar Province.. Gazastan is inhabited soley by Afghan Arabs, reputed to have arrived centuries ago from Saudi Arabia. November 2004
