An underwater speaker guides the synchro club as they move through the water and appear to effortlessly defy gravity as they practice an aerial lift. 'Our sport gets a bad wrap sometimes,' says coach Linai Vaz DeNegri. 'I think it is because art is not valued as much in athletics. We have a unique combination of art and athletics here. I like to compare it to figure skating, while upside down, while not breathing.'
