The 3rd Cavalry's Red Dawg platoon returned to a war different to the one they left the year before. Now they face an invisible enemy, one able to blend into the local community and unwilling to fight toe to toe Just days into their first missions, they suffered their first attacks. One month later, three of their own would fall to the invisible man. For many, the main goal was to make it home. Members of 3/3 ACR were performing a zone reconnaissance in rural areas south of Baghdad on Thursday, April 7, 2005.
