Mariama and Bintu say a prayer before their breakfast with Deannie and Clay Elliott at their new home in Michigan. It was Deannie's first Mother's Day and Mariama's 17th birthday celebrated two days after the girls moved to Michigan. Mariama Conteh moved to the home of Deannie and Clay Elliott in Michigan who have assumed legal guardianship of her. It didn't work out for Bintu and she moved back to NY and later was taken in by a family in Texas.
