The day Bernard Baruch testified before the Senate on the Marshall Plan, his brother, Herman, ambassador to the Netherlands, (upper right), was an interested spectator. Following testimony Herman was introduced to Senator Tom Connolly, (lower left). 'It was an opportunity to photograph the brothers as they really seem,' said Mr. Whitmore. 'Bernard--pleeasant, at home anywhere, Herman, very shy.'
