President Eisenhower and Premier Khrushchev as they met for the first time at Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland, Sept. 15th, 1959. A brilliant sun shone down on them, forcing the frown and adding to the seriousness of their faces. Picture made at the airport during playing of national anthems.
