Leopoldville, The Congo, Carrying a machine gun slung around his neck and a brief case in his right hand, a new Congolese 'civil servant' arrives for work at the government building here. Later on Sept. 22nd Congolese soldiers marched on strongman Col. Joseph Mobutu's home demanding more pay, but turned tail and fled when guards fired over their heads.
