JAPAN : THE HUMANOIDS- In many cultures, where science fiction often depicts the rise of robots as an ominous threat, most Japanese have long portrayed robots as friends and heroes and embrace humanoid robot technology. Increasingly, the Japanese are looking to robotic solutions for social needs.
