The CIA's Forgotten Soldiers - Xang Yang, 53, an ethnic Hmong and a veteran of the CIA Secret War, holds an AK-47 assault rifle while resting along a trail in the jungle of the Vientiane province of Laos on 27 November 2007. If I surrender, I will be punished, said Xang Yang. He said his group has been attacked by the Lao People's Army twice this year. Human rights groups and United States diplomats say that Laotian troops have been involved in numerous attacks by veterans of the Secret War and their families.
